John Lysaght

Master John Lysaght has been instructing for USA Karate since 2002. He is a 6th degree black belt who has long been recognized and awarded for his ability in teaching the martial arts. His specialties are traditional form and self-defense.

Master Lysaght founded and has coached the Nationally recognized Andover AllStars tournament and demo team since 2007. Under his leadership, the Andover AllStars tournament team has placed among top teams in the State for years, and members have achieved great individual success.

Master Lysaght regularly visits schools and groups throughout the metro area to present 'Safety Awareness', 'Stranger Danger', and 'Might for Right'- programs designed with collaboration of law enforcement to teach children the lastest safety information and technique.

Mr. Lysaght has expanded his Martial Art's training by learning Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Wushu Kung Fu.

Mr Tuff has been with USA Karate since 2001, has taught with usa karate for going on 11 years now, He graduated to fourth degree black belt in 2014 specializing in Teaching and Weapons. Leads our Nationally recognized tournament team the "Anoka Allstars"
Jacob Kahn

Mr. Kahn has been with USA Karate since 2008 and began instructing in 2013. He was a leader among the Anoka AllStars competition and demo team before turning his focus toward individual competition. Mr. Kahn is known for his weapons forms including advanced bo, double bo, and extreme form. In the Twin Cities, he is a leader in Weapons and Extreme Form divisions, receiving numerous Grand Champions. He is a 2013 NASKA World Top 10 member, he is currently nationally ranked among the best in cmx (creative, musical and extreme) divisions, and has the privilege and honor to now compete with his Martial Arts role models. Mr. Kahn enjoys competing throughout the country whenever his busy schedule will allow. Besides being the head instructor at Woodbury, he teaches Wednesday nights at the Anoka USA Karate location and gives many private lessons. Mr. Kahn is a skilled choreographer. He's helped many students achieve success in weapons and extreme form competition by putting together smart and appealing routines.
